What to Expect on Install Day
Estate Claim Services – Production Overview & Customer Prep Guide
This guide is just for you, so you know exactly what to expect when our crew arrives.
General Install Day Expectations for All Services
- Arrival Time: Crews typically arrive between 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM, depending on weather and logistics. You’ll get a heads-up the day before.
- Access Needed: Please ensure we have access to your driveway, gates, and power outlets. Move vehicles out of the driveway or garage if possible.
- Crew Identification: Our crews are uniformed, local professionals who have been with us since the beginning.
- Cleanup: We perform a daily and final cleanup, including magnetic sweeps for nails and material haul-off.
- On-Site Contact: Your Project Manager is your point of contact during install. You’ll have their direct number.
Roof Installation
- Noise Level: Expect loud hammering and vibration inside the home. Take down fragile items from shelves or walls.
- Tear-Off: We’ll remove the old roof and inspect the decking for damage or deterioration.
- Decking Issues: If rot or delamination is found, we’ll stop and get approval before proceeding.
- Installation Process: Includes synthetic underlayment, ice and water shield, proper ventilation, flashing, and the selected shingle system.
- Timeline: Most roofs are completed in 1 day, depending on size and scope.
Siding Installation (Vinyl, LP SmartSide, James Hardie, EDCO, Vesta)
- Noise Level: Moderate, expect saws, hammering, and movement around the house.
- Prep Needed: Clear patio furniture, decor, and anything near walls.
- Final Selections: All colors and trim details should be approved prior to install.
- Timeline: Standard siding jobs are typically completed in 3–5 days.
Window & Door Installation (Marvin, Andersen, Pella, Windsor, Weather Shield)
- Interior Access Required: We’ll need access to each window and/or door being replaced.
- Prep Needed: Move furniture, window treatments, and fragile items near openings.
- Dust Control: Our crews will protect floors and clean up after installation. Some dust is normal.
- Timeline: Most installs are completed in 1–2 days, depending on how many units.
Gutters & Gutter Guards
- Prep: Please keep driveway space clear for equipment and ladder access.
- Install Time: Most systems are installed in 1 day or less.
- Drainage Inspection: We’ll assess and recommend improvements if downspouts are clogged or draining improperly.
Solar Shingle Installation (GAF Timberline Solar)
- Specialized Team: Solar systems are installed by a certified GAF solar crew.
- Timing: Installation starts only after the roof system is complete and watertight.
- Electrical Tie-In: We coordinate with licensed electricians for safe panel connection.
- Timeline: Solar shingle installs usually take 1–2 days, depending on system size and electrical access.
After the Job
- Walkthrough: A final walkthrough will be scheduled with your Project Manager.
- Warranties: All warranty documents and final paperwork will be delivered digitally or in person.
